Make your own edible glue, pastillage gum paste with the PME xanthan gum. This white powder has no flavour and is also the basic ingredient in ice-cream, milkshakes and more.
Recipe to make edible glue: mix 1/4 teaspoon gum powder with 4 tablespoons water. It will take a approx. 10 – 20 minutes to dissolve. It will be a clear, no colour glue.
Recipe to make quick gum paste: take 5 gram gum powder and 250 gram fondant. Knead into the fondant and ideally allow to rest for 20 – 30 minutes before use.
Recipe to make quick pastillage: Blend and stir 1 teaspoon gum powder into 100 gram Royal Icing. Allow to rest for approx. 1 hour before use.
Ingredients: thickening agent (xantan gum – E415).
Storage: store in a cool and dry place.
